A message from
Martin Grant, Owner/Chief Inspector, Noteworthy Property
Inspections:
"With Summer upon us, more and more
people will be using their own, or a friend's, backyard pool. It is an
unfortunate fact that several hundred children under 5 drown in swimming pools
each year. Please read and distribute the article published by the Consumer
Product Safety Commission which provides information on the proper protection
measures to take to prevent child drownings.
Our newsletter this month also includes an
article on Clothes Dryer Venting Facts. Improper dryer venting is
dangerous and is one of the common problems found during home inspections. The
article on The Real Cost of a Home provides interesting food for
thought for both new and existing home owners. It also provides very good advice
on planning and performing preventative maintenance on the home to protect your
investment.
Finally, for the Agents and Brokers I
have included a recently issued CREIA press release giving some tips to help
Realtors with their disclosure obligations."
