A message from
Martin Grant, Owner/Chief Inspector, Noteworthy Property
Inspections:
"Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. At
this time of year I would like to take the opportunity to look back over the
past year and thank those of you who have used my services in 2005 and I look
forward to meeting new clients and friends of the coming year.
In this month's newsletter I offer
CREIA's latest press release with tips on lessening the "winter worries" often
encountered when starting up fireplaces and heating
systems.
Christmas is a happy time for all
and to help you stay safe I have included some useful Christmas safety
tips. Pay particular attention to safety associated with combustible real trees
and christmas lights.
Two common issues I see all the
time in older houses are two-wire electrical circuits and deteriorated masonry
chimneys. I have an article on each of these issues with advise on how to
correct the associated problems as well as preventative maintenance tips.
Finally, take a few moments to
browse the American Society of Home Inspectors Virtual Home Inspection tour.
This tool helps with understanding the workings of a home as well as what to
expect from a home inspection."
